Willkommen auf den Seiten der BioLab core unit im Forschungsgebäude SupraFAB (BioLabS) des Fachbereichs Biologie, Chemie, Pharmazie (BCP) der Freien Universität Berlin. Als multi-user Labore stehen die BioLabS Wissenschaftlern und Studierenden des Fachbereichs BCP und Physik sowie akademischen und nicht-akademischen Gästen zur Verfügung. Die Labore sind für ein breites Spektrum an Methoden und Techniken in den Bereichen Proteinbiochemie, Zellbiologie, Molekularbiologie und Mikroskopie ausgestattet. Als Gen-Anlage der Sicherheitsstufe 2 können hier ebenfalls Arbeiten mit Pathogenen sowie Gentechnikprojekte bis Sicherheitsstufe 2 durchgeführt werden. Darüber hinaus teilen sich die BioLabS den S2-Bereich mit der core unit für Optische Mikroskopie, die in die core facility BioSupraMol integriert ist.

BioLabs core unit SupraFAB (BioLabS)

Welcome to the website of the BioLab core unit in the SupraFAB research building (BioLabS) of the Department Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy (BCP) at Freie Universität Berlin. As multi-user laboratories, the BioLabS facilities are available to researchers and students in the departments BCP and Physics, as well as to academic and non-academic guests. The laboratories are equipped for a wide range of methods and techniques in the fields of protein biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and microscopy. As a Biosafety Level 2 facility, work with pathogens and genetic engineering projects up to Biosafety Level 2 can also be conducted. Moreover, the BioLabS share the S2 area with the Optical Microscopy core unit embedded in the core facility BioSupraMol.
